The Walk - Where We Walk in Christchurch

Our walks start daily at 10.30am and 1pm, from 1 October through 30 April inclusive (except Good Friday, Christmas Day, and the morning of Anzac Day – 25 April).

From 1 October through 30 April our Red Kiosk is open for ticket sales from 10.00am to 10.30am and from 12.30pm to 1pm.

During May and September walks start at 1pm. In these months, tickets are available from our kiosk between 11.15am and 1pm or from the i-Site in Worcester Boulevard.

During June, July, and August, walks start at 1pm daily. During this time, tickets and bookings are available at the i-Site.

The walks leave from the Red Kiosk near the Canterbury Museum, Rolleston Avenue, and wind through the central city taking in historic places, features of the re-build, and iconic landmarks.

Taking approximately 2.5 hours, your trained and experienced guide will provide an informative and personal commentary.

You will hear and learn about:

  • Pre-colonial history
  • Nineteenth century settlement
  • Twentieth century growth
  • Twenty-first century devastation and recovery

The cost per person is $20.00, age 12-16 half-price, under 12 free.
